To build on a relationship that started last fall with the announcement of Golf Pride investing in college scholarships and employment internships, Golf Pride and Stephen Curry have now collaborated to create a limited-edition grip kit to support and promote Curry’s Underrated Golf brand and give golfers another way to stand out on the course.
“Stephen Curry is without question a legend in the game of basketball, but through Underrated his legacy and impact on the game of golf has the potential to benefit generations to come,” said James Ledford, president of Golf Pride. “This marks our first collaboration with a global icon of this stature, and working side-by-side with Stephen to bring this concept to life has been exciting and motivating for our team. Golf Pride is committed to actively investing in initiatives that ensure the future of our sport is strong and will make golf more accessible and inclusive to larger, more diverse audiences.”
What is Underrated Golf?
Stephen Curry founded Underrated Golf to offer equity, access, and opportunity to deserving student-athletes from underserved communities. The mission is to increase the participation of competitive golfers from diverse backgrounds and to work with corporate partners to help with mentoring, networking, and visibility. The program also provides female players the same opportunities as their male counterparts.
Through the program, players receive critical exposure to college golf programs and potential NIL partners, plus access to training, equipment, leadership panels, and other benefits thanks to the help of other tour sponsors.
Price, specs, and availability
The Golf Pride X Underrated grip kit is available in standard and midsize options and features Stephen’s “SC” logo as part of the texture pattern in the upper portion of the grip and Underrated’s three-star logo as a visual reference.
In homage to Stephen’s 82-game NBA season, there are only 8,200 individually numbered kits. They are only available while supplies last at www.golfpride.com and are priced at $249.99.
