One golf item to buy this week: Puttacup indoor golf hole

March 26, 2020

Welcome to a new GOLF.com column, where we’ll highlight one notable item that you might consider buying. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device, a piece of equipment designed to increase golf’s enjoyment factor — or anything in between — we want to share these items with you simply because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or on our Slack channel these days). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.

Puttacup

Over the last few weeks we’ve seen indoor trick shots, chips, and putts sweep the internet. With so many people #playingthrough, we’ve seen tons of indoor putting greens and all sorts of at-home golf setups. The Puttacup is quite possibly my favorite because it allows you to putt the ball into an actual hole. The device replaces the metal floor vents you more than likely have throughout your home without blocking any airflow! Also, the hole is 4″ in diameter rather than the standard 4.25″ cup, so you’ll also improve your accuracy. The Puttacup fits most standard vents, but make sure you measure yours before you buy — it should be 10″ long x 4.24″ wide. If those measurements match your vents, change them all out for Puttacup, and all of a sudden you’ve turned your home into a mini golf course!
