In earning his first career PGA Tour win on Sunday, Thomas Detry put on a clinic from tee to green at TPC Scottsdale.
At the WM Phoenix Open, Detry ranked 12th in strokes gained: off-the-tee, first in approach and second in putting — an all-around outstanding performance as he won by seven at 24 under par.
If you’re looking to set yourself up for success a long way down the fairway like Detry did this past week, consider picking up the same driver he used in Scottsdale.
Detry’s Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver is available on Fairway Jockey for $100 off.
The Paradym Ai Smoke line was the first Callaway line to feature its revolutionary Ai Smart Face, which dials in the face of each specific driver to a golfer’s specific swing type, based on millions of data points Callaway has collected.
Detry’s gamer — the Ai Smoke Triple Diamond — is designed specifically for players who hit up on the ball and have a fairly neutral (as opposed to left) swing path. The driver was considered a unicorn in testing as it had characteristics on mishits that were more like a high-launch, high MOI driver than a low-spin Tour-level model.

“We’ve seen some golfers who tested with it that were noticeably more consistent during our testing,” Evan Gibbs, Callaway’s director of R&D, metalwoods, said in 2024. “The shape of the [dispersion] ellipse is very horizontal on heel and toe shots, so those mishits are now going similar distances. We’ve eliminated those short right misses that lose too much spin and speed.”
With the Ai Smoke line, Callaway also utilized a 360-degree carbon chassis that was touted as being 44 percent lighter than a traditional driver body, allowing Callaway to reposition weight for more forgiveness.
At $100 off, the Ai Smoke Triple Diamond is a tremendous value.
As always, when you purchase on Fairway Jockey, you also get access to dozens of stock and premium shaft and grip options to ensure your new club is a perfect fit.
