Cobra Golf has released a patriotic version of its current driver for several years and watched it fly off the shelf. The latest limited-release offering, Darkspeed Volition America, will undoubtedly see similar demand.

The patriotic red, white and blue color scheme on the sole of the Darkspeed Volition America features a Bald Eagle and American flag graphics, along with a matching headcover. A portion of the proceeds from each driver sale will go directly to the Folds of Honor Foundation, which supports families of fallen American military heroes by providing educational scholarships.

The engine inside the driver remains the same as the current Darkspeed. A more aerodynamic shaping and re-engineered PWR-Bridge structure behind the face increase head speed and improve the energy transfer to the ball at impact. The overall sweetspot was also expanded by 13 percent with the help of an Artificial intelligence-powered PWRSHELL H.O.T. Face insert.

The drivers also feature a multi-material construction with lightweight carbon sole and crown plates to go along with the reinforced titanium body. The carbon fiber plates are 30 percent lighter than the titanium they replace and allow more discretionary weight to be positioned around the head for increased MOI.

All of these technologies have been optimized for each of the models to deliver the maximum benefit to the target golfer, and each driver comes with Cobra’s MyFly adjustable hosel.

The Darkspeed Volition America X and LS (9 and 10.5 degrees) come with a matching limited edition headcover and a patriotic color-scheme Project X HZDRUS GEN 4 Black shaft (X, S, or R flexes). It’s currently available through Cobra’s official website and select authorized dealers.
