If your swing speed is on the slower side, an ultra-light driver can be a huge help. Luckily for you, we tested and determined the best drivers for slower swing speeds for ClubTest 2025 with the assistance of a large group of testers at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz.
But how do these drivers work? It’s quite simple. With a lighter driver head, a golfer can swing faster, creating more ball speed and longer, higher-launching drives. Manufacturers make this happen with a combination of weight gains and aerodynamics. Below you’ll find the best ultra-light drivers for the slow swingers out there.

With the weight distributed properly — GT1 has the deepest CG in the entire GT family — the shape was also refined to make it more aerodynamic, helping the slow-to-moderate clubhead speed player swing it faster.

PXG Wildcat Driver
THE BASICS: PXG’s Wildcat metal woods are geared to help players get the ball airborne, and it all starts with the lofts. The driver has a whopping 16 degrees of loft, aiming to help players get their drives in the air and nearer to the hole. It was crafted from a Ti-811 body and a high-strength Ti face insert, while the CG has been optimally (deeper and lower) placed to produce high launch and low spin. A stock length of 44 inches, 1.5 inches shorter than the modern standard, should allow golfers to more easily find the center of the club face.

For Qi35, the mood board included an F-22 Fighter Jet, an exotic yacht, a Lamborghini and several examples of “point to” features — and all of these ideas culminated in specific features of the Qi35 drivers.
