FootJoy’s most popular golf shoes finally get the Boa treatment

August 9, 2019

FootJoy’s laceless Boa Fitting system has been around for a while. However, it hasn’t been available on all of their golf shoe models. Now, you can get two of FootJoy’s best tour golf shoe models decked out with Boa tech. Check them out below.

If you want a shoe that fits like a cross-trainer, looks like a running shoe and performs like a golf shoe, this one might be right up your alley. The breathable yet waterproof FJ Fury Boa is loaded with tech: 1) A rigid D3 (Dynamic Dual Density) outsole for lateral stability during the golf swing; 2) an FTF+ (Fine Tuned Foam) infused midsole and an OrthoLite Impressions FitBed for outstanding comfort; 3) a Liquid Metal–inspired Flex Layer of TPU for walking and crouching flexibility; and 4) FJ’s innovative laceless Boa Fitting System for a precision fit. All said, the highest praise we’ve heard is that the FJ Fury Boa shoes require zero break-in time.

The understated FJ Pro/SL Boa spikeless shoe comes with water-proof ChromaSkin leather; a lightweight, three-piece, perimeter-weighted outsole and soft EVA Fit-Bed for added stability and comfort; and the Boa Fit System to finely tune how each shoe fits, from the front of the shoe to back around the heel. FJ offers the Pro/SL model in a wide array of widths (from narrow to extra-wide and from sizes 6 to 16) with a huge variety of custom patterns and accent styles via the “Design My Own” feature on footjoy.com (examples below). And in case you’re wondering if they’re Tour-proven or not, FJ lists the names of 10 different PGA players who wear them as their go-to kicks.
