WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The newest 0311P and XP Gen7 players’ distance irons continue the distinctive looks and aggressive styling that have become synonymous with PXG’s irons, but as much as the style has been upgraded, even more advancements have taken place on the inside of these irons to push them right to the USGA limit.
Inside the new 0311 Gen7 irons is PXG’s most innovative polymer system yet — QuantumCOR, which is the result of a continuous push by PXG engineers to find a material that delivers speed and rebound capabilities without ever sacrificing the soft signature PXG feel.
This new QuantumCOR material along with the extremely thin face construction has created the largest single ball speed and distance jump from generation to generation in PXG’s history.
The newest Black Ops irons are unique in PXG’s lineup because they’re a stand-alone game improvement offering designed to compete in the competitive game improvement market. Beyond just being long and forgiving, the Black Ops irons have been designed with a supreme focus on providing golfers with a much softer feel at impact compared to other options in the category.
As for technology, the dual cavity design iron is filled with PXG’s XCOR2 material to save weight while the wider sole and topline provide extra stability across and up and down on the face to stabilize ball speeds and spin. Speaking of the face, the Black Ops has a 4.3% larger hitting area than the previous 0311 Gen6 irons which helps to create more flex for great ball speeds.
