Scheffler has won two of the last three APIs and enters the week as the betting favorite, but Subpar co-hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz are going in a different direction with their Fanatics Sportsbook bets of the week.
“I’m going with a top-20 bet this week,” Knost said. “Guy whose got a great record here, loves this golf course. He’s playing really nice golf right now and just the way he goes about it, I think it sets up perfect for him. Give me Keegan Bradley, the captain, +160 to top 20.”
Stoltz is also eyeing a top-20 bet, but he’s locked in on a player who was in the mix last year until Scheffler hit the gas.
“I’m doing a top-20 play. Eleventh last week, runner-up at Pebble. He is phenomenal on firm golf courses. I would say maybe the best firm golf course [player] — mainly like Open Championship and links-style stuff. But Bay Hill gets that way too. Give me Shane Lowry top 20 at +150,” Stoltz said.
Scheffler is the favorite at +350. Next up is McIlroy at +850, followed by Ludvig Aberg at +1200 and Schauffele at +1800.
