WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
No matter how many technological advancements an equipment manufacturer can pack into its offerings, none of those goodies matter if the clubs don’t fit the golfer.
That’s the core philosophy behind Cobra Golf’s latest innovations: its all-new DS-Adapt line, which includes hybrids. The clubs not only incorporate cutting-edge tech but also bring a renewed emphasis to precision tuning that’s both more robust and easier than ever to adjust.
The buzziest piece of tech is the 33 hosel settings. That might be intimidating, but Jose Miraflor, Cobra’s VP of architecture, told GOLF.com that using the FF33 loft sleeve isn’t actually that complicated once you figure out your miss and reference the included chart.
“Once you find out what quadrant you’re missing in, you go with the opposite quadrant,” he said of the chart. “And now if you just pick two or three out of there, direct opposite to bring you back to A1, you’re only going to need to try maybe two to three, maybe four settings at the most.”
These hybrids also feature adaptive weighting for low and forward CG placement, H.O.T. face technology for increased speed and launch and a slightly larger footprint than the previous generation DS for improved forgiveness.
