On Tuesday, Cobra introduced two new hybrid models: King Tec and King Tec One Length. The models add to Cobra’s collection of new clubs, which include the recently-released DS-Adapt family. Below, find 3 things to know about the new King Tec hybrids.

1. King Tec is designed for better players

With a refined face and smaller address profile, the King Tec hybrid is intended to encourage workability and precision for better players.

2. King Tec is packed with performance-enhancing technology

In addition to Cobra’s FutureFit33 adjustable loft and lie system, which allows for 33 unique loft and lie settings, the King Tec hybrid helps enhance speed and forgiveness thanks to a lightweight carbon crown which allows for more discretionary weight to be placed within the clubhead. Additionally, Cobra’s H.O.T. face design and forged PWRSHELL face technology aid flexibility, speed and spin.

For players interested in fine tuning their trajectory and spin, the hybrid also comes with an adjustable weighting system which includes two weights (12g and 2g) that can be positioned in the toe or heel.

3. King Tec is available in a single-length option

If you’re a single-length club fan like Bryson DeChambeau, the King Tec is also available as King Tec One Length. This club possesses all the standard King Tec technology described above with a few notable changes. The shaping is more traditional, and the 12g rear weight is fixed in order to produce a low-back CG, promoting higher launch and increased stability.

Cobra’s King Tec Hybrid ($299/each) will be available for purchase in 2H (17°), 3H (19°), 4H (22°), and 5H (25°); the King Tec One Length Hybrid (also $299/each) will be available in 3H (19°), 4H (21°), and 5H (24°) on March 13 on Cobra’s website and at Cobra’s retail locations.

As a four-year member of Columbia’s inaugural class of female varsity golfers, Jessica can out-birdie everyone on the masthead. She can out-hustle them in the office, too, where she’s primarily responsible for producing both print and online features, and overseeing major special projects, such as GOLF’s inaugural Style Issue, which debuted in February 2018. Her original interview series, “A Round With,” debuted in November of 2015, and appeared in both in the magazine and in video form on GOLF.com.
