Course Overview
Dubbed “the Poor Man’s Sandhills,” Wild Horse more than deserves its own national reputation. Coore & Crenshaw disciples Axland and Proctor carved out one of the best values in golf from sand dunes overlooking the Platte River Valley. This is a pure prairie links experience — crazy wide fairways that run firm and fast, greens built for bump-and-run play, holes where the only target is a distant grain elevator. All on a course that’s easier to get to — and on — than its famous Nebraska neighbor. If this is a “poor man’s” course, we should all take a vow of poverty.
