After two years of waiting, the Solheim Cup is back — and it all gets started on Friday.
Twelve star American players will take on 12 European pros in a continuation of a decades-long battle. Team Europe has had the recent edge, winning the last two Solheim Cup, including the most recent in 2021 on American soil.

The first day of the competition on Friday will feature two sessions of eight matches. The first session, which begins at 2:10 a.m. ET, will be played under the foursomes, or alternate shot, format.
For the second session of the day, players will instead compete in the four-ball format, with each player playing her own ball and the lowest score per team counting for each hole.
