After 36 holes at Los Angeles Country Club, Rickie Fowler stands alone as the U.S. Open leader.

Fowler came into Friday tied for the lead with Xander Schauffele after the pair shot matching, record-breaking 62s on Thursday. Fowler backed it up with a two-under 68 in Round 2 to reach 10 under.

Schauffele shot a 70 to remain at eight under, tied with Rory McIlroy, whose Friday 67 moved him firmly into contention. Wyndham Clark is alone in second place at nine under.

Round 3 coverage begins online with featured group and featured hole coverage provided by Peacock, USOpen.com and the USGA App on Saturday morning. NBC then begins their lengthy third-round TV broadcast on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
