The 2023 PGA Championship has reached its final act, and if Sunday is anything like the previous three, golf fans are in for a treat.
Brooks Koepka holds a one-shot lead heading into the final round as he looks for his fifth major title, but there’s plenty of firepower behind him.
Viktor Hovland and Corey Conners sit just one shot behind as they each look for their first major victories, while Bryson DeChambeau sits another two shots back. That’s not to mention the duo of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy who remain within striking distance.
With that sort of pedigree on the leaderboard, the title (and bragging rights) will be hard-earned.
But a resume boost isn’t the only benefit for the winner. They’ll also earn a bevy of exemptions, the Wanamaker trophy and a whole lot of cash. The total PGA Championship purse is increasing to $17.5 million this year, and the winner will now earn $3.15 million.
