Can anyone stop Jon Rahm? That’s the primary question heading into this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, the third designated PGA Tour event in four weeks. Rahm, the new World No. 1, captured the last designated event, the Genesis Invitational, along with its $3.6 million winner’s check. That win moved him back into No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
But two other recent No. 1s will be battling Rahm for those honors at Bay Hill: Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. Scheffler briefly reclaimed the No. 1 spot after defending his title at the WM Phoenix Open. He wrested the top ranking from McIlroy that week, before losing it to Rahm in short order.
With No. 1 and another $20 million on the line, fans are in for an entertaining week of golf.
Golf Channel and NBC will provide TV coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and Peacock will stream the action online, with ESPN+ providing exclusive early coverage of all four rounds.
