Can you believe we’ve already made it to the first Sunday of the new PGA Tour season? Below, find everything you need to know about tournament money for the first event of the PGA Tour’s 2022-23 season at the Fortinet Championship.
Fortinet Championship final round preview
On the strength of an impressive opening round 63, second-year PGA Tour pro Justin Lower starts the final round of the Fortinet Championship with a one shot lead at 13-under-par. You may remember Lower from his emotional press conference after the final round of the Wyndham Championship when he 3-putted the 72nd green to seemingly lose his tour card. However, Lower moved up the eligibility list thanks to LIV Golf defections after the Tour Championship and retained his status for this season.
Just a stroke back is defending champion Max Homa. Homa is coming off a tied for fifth finish at the Tour Championship in his first appearance.
Also tied for second with Homa going into the final round is 2016 Masters Champion Danny Willet, who is looking for his first PGA Tour victory since his triumph at Augusta National.
Below, find everything you need to know about that money, including payout information and winner’s share; you can catch the action from 6-9 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, but on tape delay due to tee times being moved up because of weather. Live coverage can be streamed on GolfChannel.com from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m..
