The 2022 Masters is still 10 months away, but if you actually want to be there to take in Augusta National in all its splendor, now is the time to act. The 2022 Masters tickets lottery is now open, and in order to have the chance to buy tickets, you need to apply. Here’s how to do it.
Visit the Masters tickets website
To enter the 2022 Masters tickets lottery, you must first create an account on the Masters tickets website. Unfortunately, getting Masters tickets isn’t as easy as simply buying them online. Demand is so high that tickets are distributed via lottery, so you have to win the chance to purchase tickets.
Ensure your eligibility
A few caveats to keep in mind as you create your account on the Masters tickets website: You may only apply for tickets if you are at least 21 years old; you may only apply on behalf of yourself; and you must use a permanent residential address. (This is important, because in the event you do get to purchase tickets, that’s where they’ll be sent!)
Decide which days you want to apply for
Tickets for the 2022 Masters are available for practice days (Monday-Wednesday) and tournament days (Thursday-Sunday). You can apply for tickets for each day of the week, but you can only win tickets for one day. If you win practice-round tickets, you can purchase up to four for $75 each. Tournament day tickets are $115, and lottery winners can purchase a maximum of two.
Start dreaming
Once you’ve submitted your application, you have until June 21 (the end of the application period) to make any changes. If you win, you’ll be notified in September, and you must pay for the tickets online. Once you purchase your tickets, they will be mailed to the address on your account profile in March. If you’re no longer able to attend for some reason, there are unfortunately no refunds or rain checks, so do your best to clear that calendar!
