Our take: The EXS Blade wedges, according to Tour Edge, “are engineered to deliver exact distance control, maximum versatility and superior spin.” The engineering aspect did not escape a tester during GOLF’s ClubTest. “The wedges have reached a tech high point,” the tester said.

The details: A little more on that tech. The Tour Edge EXS Blades — available in 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 degrees — feature a custom sole grind, which helps remove bounce from the heel, toe and trailing edge for versatility; pure milled forging; a milled-out center, which distributes weight throughout the club for distance control; and a flare toe design; which moves the center of gravity higher to help with trajectory.
