Watch the viral ‘snowflake generation’ video that golfer Eddie Pepperell thinks is ‘spot on’

Piers Morgan, former CNN host, Celebrity Apprentice winner and current host of morning TV show Good Morning Britain, is a big golfer. He plays in the Dunhill Links Championship most years, and here he is celebrating an apparently-important putt he made during a recent broadcast.

Piers went viral for a recent speech that doesn’t have anything to do with golf directly, but like everything, pertains to golf in interesting ways.

At least Eddie Pepperell thinks so.

Specifically, Pepperell called the clip “spot on”, so I decided to give it a watch. The brief clip is Piers talking about how younger generations have gone “soft” because of a culture that insulates them from failure, which causes them anxiety later in life because they’re ill-equipped to tackle real-world problems later in life. It makes you think, and he certainly puts a convincing point forward.

(Agree or not, can I just add that this is one of the many reasons why I love the game of golf. All the cliches are coming out, but they’re true. It’s impossible to conquer the game of golf. You can never beat it, and when you fail, as you invariably will, you have no one to blame. But that makes it all the sweeter when you succeed).
