So you really want see the 2019 Masters in person? You’re in luck, because many tickets can still be had on secondary markets. But it’s going to cost you. Masters ticket prices have skyrocketed to the point where only the wealthiest (or most die-hard) Masters fans among you have a shot.
Over on Stubhub.com, Masters ticket prices have been climbing steadily over the last few months. Of course, now that the tournament is almost upon us, ticket prices have taken another jump upward.
If you want a badge for all four rounds of the 2019 Masters, the good news is there are around 30 tickets left. The bad news is that they will cost you $7,850 — each. And that’s just the cheapest option. One confident seller is offering each of his four tickets with a price tag of $10,900.
Of course, a four-day pass isn’t the only way to get on the grounds of Augusta National for this year’s tournament. You can choose to buy a badge for a single round. As of now, the Masters ticket prices for Thursday badges run from just under $3,000 up to $5,000.
Badges for Friday’s second round at the Masters are priced similarly, but there are a lot more available. Prices for a single ticket to Round 2 run from $2,500 all the way up to $5,112. That would certainly not be the most cost-effective purchase considering the four-day badges can be had for a bit more.
But forget all of those, because the best option is clear. Passes for Sunday’s final round are starting at a paltry sum of $2,000, less than single-day passes to any other round. One way or another, history will be made on Sunday of the Masters, as it is every year.
Before you get too excited, there are significant risks to buying Masters tickets on the secondary market. Augusta National prohibits the practice, and they have been cracking down more and more aggressively each year.
On top of that, when you check out Masters ticket prices on Stubhub.com, you’re greeted with a friendly warning that reads, in part: “2019 Masters Tournament competitive round badges available through StubHub are rented and must be returned. All buyers are required to agree to terms and conditions at checkout.
But if those ominous warnings don’t scare you, and you can stomach the absurd Masters ticket prices, then get your tickets fast and start making your way to Georgia.
