The second round of the Valero Texas Open is in the books, and as predicted yesterday, players needed to be in red numbers to stick around for the weekend.
Here’s everything you missed from the Friday action at TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Oaks Course.
After carding eight birdies and two bogeys en route to a first-round 66 on Thursday, Kim kept his foot on the gas on Friday, tying the low round of the day again with yet another 66.
This time, the scorecard was even more perfect: four birdies, no bogeys and an ace on the 167-yard par-3 16th hole. Check out the highlight below.

The 23-year-old South Korean leads by four shots at 12 under par overall, and is seeking his third career Tour victory this week.
Four shots behind Kim’s lead are Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth.

The fan favorites turned in a colorful scorecards on Friday, with five birdies, three bogeys and an eagle for each. Combined with their matching 68s from Thursday’s opening round, their two-day total is eight under par. The two stars are currently tied for third with four other players.

If you want to survive into the weekend at the AT&T Oaks course, you need to go low.
The top 70 players and ties earn the right to play on Saturday and Sunday at the Valero Texas Open, and one under par for 36 holes happened to be the magic number this week.
