February 26, 2019

The Florida swing of the PGA Tour kicks off this week with the Honda Classic at PGA National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens. The betting favorite at the Honda Classic, which has been played on the Champion Course at PGA National since 2007, is the defending champion Justin Thomas.

The 25-year-old Thomas enters with 5/1 odds to repeat at the first event of the Florida swing. Thomas finished ninth this past week at the WGC-Mexico Championship, and he’s earned four top 10 finishes in his last five starts. He’s still looking for his first PGA Tour win since the Bridgestone Invitational last August.

Following behind Thomas is Rickie Fowler, who enters with 10/1 odds to win this week. The 2017 Honda Classic champion finished tied for 36th this past week in Mexico City. His last win on Tour came earlier this month at the Waste Management Open.

Coming in with the third-highest odds at 12/1 this week is Brooks Koepka, who finished tied for 27th this past week at Club de Golf Chapultepec. The No. 2 player in the world is looking for his first Tour win since his victory at the CJ Cup this past October.

The fourth-highest odds to win this week at 16/1 belong to Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott. The 39-year-old Garcia finished tied for sixth this past week at the WGC-Mexico Championship, but he’s still looking for his first PGA Tour win since his triumph at the 2017 Masters.

Meanwhile, the 2016 Honda Classic champion Scott finished tied for seventh earlier this month at the Genesis Open. His last win on the Tour came at the aforementioned WGC-Mexico in 2016.
