Arizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Archie Bradley had the time of his life playing in the Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro Am. But the MLB pitcher’s magical day took a turn for the worse when his golf bag was stolen from the grounds at TPC Scottsdale.
Fortunately, a little assist from golf manufacturer PXG saved Bradley’s day (h/t azcentral.com).
Before his clubs went missing, Bradley seemed to be truly enjoying himself at the pro am. His group outplayed Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps, as well as a fellow Arizona pro athlete, Cardinals star Patrick Peterson. His enthusiastic smile was captured by photographers throughout the day.
But at some point, Bradley noticed his bag was nowhere to be found and, assuming it had been stolen, took his case to Twitter for help.

Then yesterday, Bradley posted again about the incident on Twitter, this time including a photo of his stolen clubs for sale online (his bag had his name embroidered on it).

But thanks to his high-profile status as a pro baseball player, there was no need to go on a sleuthing mission to get his original clubs back. PXG heard about Bradley’s plight, and on Thursday delivered a replacement bag full of brand-new PXG clubs, topped off with a few black and white balloons.

While it worked out for Bradley, golf club manufacturers are not in the business of handing out thousands of dollars of free equipment to just anyone. So it’s best you keep a closer eye on your precious sticks than he did.
