Tiger Woods Ryder Cup record

September 27, 2018

Tiger Woods returns to the Ryder Cup for just the first time since 2012, making 2018 his eighth career Ryder Cup appearance.

Woods, 42, has earned 14.5 points in his career, which ranks ninth all time among American players.

His overall record is 13-17-3, which is highlighted a 4-1-2 singles record. He’s 4-8-1 in foursomes (alternate shot) and 5-8-0 in fourballs (best ball).

Woods’s 33 matches played is the fifth-most among U.S. players. He’s likely going to play in at least three of the five matches this week, although appearing in four would give him 37 career matches played, tying Billy Casper for the second-most. Phil Mickelson has played the most Ryder Cup matches with 45. He has also the most appearances with 12.

Woods, in fact, hasn’t lost a Ryder Cup singles match in two decades. He lost in his first Ryder Cup in 1997.
