A major victory will do plenty for your world ranking.
Danny Willett, who entered last week as the 12th ranked golfer in the world is now a top 10 golfer for the first time in his career. The incredible, come-from-behind victory moved Willett up to no. 9 in the world. Entering the Masters last year, Willett was just 51st in the rankings, showing exactly what a great year of golf can do for a certain player.
Willett’s win also kept Jordan Spieth from ascending to the top spot yet again. A win from Spieth would have moved the 22-year-old back to the top spot over Jason Day, but his T2 finish will save that honor for the Australian.
