12 Best Instagramers in Golf

June 5, 2015

Professional golfers lead exciting, glamorous lives that lead them all over the world, and many of them revel in documenting all that fabulousness on Instagram. Here are a dozen players whose photo galleries are worth a follow.

Rory McIlroy (532,000 followers)

McIlroy might trail Kim Kardashian West by rougly 24 million followers, but he still boasts a legion that is half a million strong — impressive by Tour pro standards. The 25-year-old Northern Irishman shows off the places the game takes him (from downtown Belfast to a rooftop in Dubai), as well as the famous people with whom he crosses paths, from pop stars to former presidents.

Had a great time today catching up with President Clinton, always a pleasure and education spending time in his company!

Rickie Fowler (508,000 followers)

The flashy Fowler has only two career Tour victories, but nears the top of the list among his peers in terms of Instagram followers. One day he’s on the back of a camel, the next he’s posing with Oklahoma State mascot Pistol Pete. And, look, there’s Rickie posting GoPro pics from a mountaintop! Having a gorgeous girlfriend who makes regular cameos in your feed doesn’t hurt its appeal, either.

Bubba Watson (189,000 followers)

Jamie Foxx here, Bubba Claus there. And is that a … stuffed giraffe? You never know what might turn up on the eccentric two-time Masters champ’s feed. Which is exactly what you’d expect from him.

Justin Rose (152,000 followers)

This 2013 U.S. Open champion has a unique way of expressing himself on Instagram. Rosey shows his lighter side by poking fun at himself with posts, and even shedding clothing.

Ian Poulter (135,000 followers)

No golfer enjoys flaunting his luxury toys quite like Poulter. You don’t need to follow him for long to appreciate his weakness for Ferraris.

It’s the day the GTO got a brother……… Looking beautiful.

Michelle Wie (125,000 followers)

The 2014 Women’s U.S. Open champion populates her account with pictures of her favorite fashions and food, and her posse of LPGA BFFs. Wie also is a bit of a workout freak, or so her feed would lead us to believe.

Natalie Gulbis (66,000 followers)

One of the most beautiful women in golf has no problem showing off her beautifulness on Instagram. Her favorite settings include the gym and catching some rays with her hubby.

Cheyenne Woods (50,000 followers)

Tiger’s niece is fun. Really fun. Her feed is loaded with interesting things she’s seen (Australia’s Gold Coast from a chopper) and done (dressed in traditional Thai garb).

Lee Westwood (44,000 followers)

If you like your Instagramers to post daily, Westy is your man. The Englishman joined Instagram in May 2014 and has posted about once a day since, often uploading four or five photos at a clip. He relishes broadcasting what he is doing, even if he isn’t doing much at all.

Spectacularly large hangover!!! Not a bad place to get over it though.

Blair O’Neal (33,000 followers)

This Symetra Tour pro might not fit into this group of multiple-time Tour winners, but on Instagram she holds her own against the best. As one of the few multiple-time GOLF.com Most Beautiful Women in Golf, O’Neal is clearly one of our faves. 😉

Greg Norman (24,000 followers)

Norman might be the most active and fun former Tour player on social media. When not hunting big-game animals or hiking incredible mountains, the Shark finds time to relax — if your idea of relaxing is bunji-jumping hundreds of feet into a canyon. Norman might just enjoy the hashtag #AttackLife a little too much.

The only Shark that flies….#ATTACKLIFE Our goodbye #newzealand Nevis bungy jump today.

Jimmy Walker (21,000 followers)

Walker ascended to the top 15 in the world rankings after winning three events in 2014. In his spare time, his hobby of lunar photography takes him even higher. Most of his posts center around extensions of the universe, but some of his best snaps are of stunning sunsets.

Always seems to be a nice sunset at Torrey!!
