Perhaps the next great Scottish golf course, Dumbarnie Links, is coming in very nicely, and it’s ahead of schedule.
With a hat-tip to the team at UK golf brand Bunkered, there have been more photos released of the project in the last few months. Simply put, the land looks amazing. According to Bunkered, 14 of the 18 holes will have views of the Firth of Forth.

The course is located about 15 miles south of St. Andrews, adding another future stop to many Scotland bucket lists. At the moment, it’s pegged to open to the public in the spring of 2020. Thanks to what was a very warm summer season, the course is reportedly ahead of schedule for the architect team of Paul Kimber and Clive Clark.
“We know it’s more of a marathon than a sprint, but we also can’t help but crack a smile at what’s going on here,” Clark told Bunkered. “We have on board an amazing staff of world-class greenkeepers supervising and executing the grow-in, and we’ve had perfect conditions for an outstanding project so far. The Golf Gods have been smiling on Dumbarnie Links, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”
For any course junkies who’d like to follow the course’s progress, check out David Minogue (@Davidonsitegolf), another architecture lead on the project, or KimberGlen (below). Minogue has been tweeting out photos of the course for the last few months, and you can see progress in that short time alone.
