This beautiful golf course photo looks like actual golf heaven-on-earth

August 20, 2019

A picture — a beautiful picture — made the rounds on social media on Monday, and it was particularly cruel. As golfers everywhere were sitting at their desks Monday morning, preparing for the week ahead, they were treated to a beautiful sight of a perfect rainbow overlooking a golf course.

The course is called Brora Golf Club, which sits on the north-eastern tip of Scotland.

And if you ever make it to that part of the world, it’s worth making the trip up there. Brora is ranked as one of the best golf courses in Scotland, and it’s one of those classically understated Scottish tracks. “Simple”and “elegant,” according to Golf Club Atlas, that makes the course an “easy 36 hole day.”

There’s lots of fun little holes (lined with lots of sheep, usually), but the 14th hole looks particularly fun. A short, 334-yard par 4 that Chris Solomon over at No Laying Up once made a Hole in One on.

I haven’t been lucky enough to play Brora yet, but I’ll be dreaming of it today, and maybe I’ll make a trip there sometime in the future.
