The total purse for BMW Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Penn., is $9 million, and the winner receives $1.62 million. That’s the same amount of money the winners of the previous two FedEx Cup playoff events received. The runner-up nearly gets a million, earning $972,000. Rounding out the top five is 612,000 for 3rd, 432,000 for 4th and 360,000 for 5th.
