Who will win the 2018 PGA Championship at Bellerive? Oddsmakers now place Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy at the front of the pack as favorites to win the tournament. Last year’s winner, Justin Thomas, has 14/1 odds to repeat. Thomas is fresh off a win at the WGC Bridgestone.
Johnson, the World No. 1, is 10/1 to win, and McIlroy (12/1), of course, is a two-time winner of the PGA Championship; he’s also tied for third twice. At 16/1 odds, Jordan Spieth is another favorite to win this week. Spieth’s record in the fourth major is also illustrious. He finished second in 2015, tied for 13th in 2016 and tied for 28th in 2017. Spieth has added incentive to push toward victory since his 2017 triumph at the British Open. The PGA is the only major championship he has not yet won, and he’s eager to complete the Grand Slam.
Rickie Fowler, still in pursuit of that elusive first major title, sits at 18/1 odds. Tiger Woods, whose performance at the British Open convinced some skeptics that the 42-year-old might yet win again, is currently at 20/1 odds; his chances have dropped since a disappointing weekend at the WGC Bridgestone.
