Solheim Cup Saturday foursomes matches: Inkster repairs Korda sisters together

September 13, 2019

The Solheim Cup is just getting good after Day 1, where Team Europe grabbed a slight advantage, 4.5 to 3.5. Each team will trot out four pairs of women for the Saturday morning foursomes (alternate shot).

Leading the charge for the Juli Inkster’s American team will be Morgan Pressel and Marina Alex, who halved a match Friday morning. They’ll be taking on Anna Nordqvist and Anne Van Dam as the first match out at 8:10 a.m. local time (3:10 a.m. ET).

Next up will be Lizette Salas and Ally McDonald against Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier. Hall and Boutier won 2 and 1 on Friday morning to claim the first full point for Europe.

In the third match, Danielle Kang and Megan Khang will face off against Charley Hull and Azahara Munoz. Kang nor Khang were able to register a point for the Americans Friday, while Munoz and Hull have already bagged 1.5 points for Europe.

Finally, the anchor pairing for the United States will be the Korda sisters, Jessica and Nelly, who combined to win their first match 6 and 4 Friday morning. Inkster separated the two sisters for the afternoon four-ball matches, each of which were halved.
