This non-profit is helping junior golfers stay connected

April 14, 2020

Youth on Course is a non-profit organization that supports young golfers across the country — and it comes at a ridiculously low price.

The organization gives junior golf members access to over 1,200 participating courses for $5 or less per round. It also has a caddie program, paid high school internships and college scholarships.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed life as we know it over the past weeks, but YOC still wants to support young golfers through these ever-evolving times. That’s why it’s curated resources to keep kids engaged in golf despite the current environment.

According to YOC’s VP of Marketing, Ashleigh McLaughlin, this space was created to offer YOC members, their families and the organization’s AGA partners a place where they can find support to navigate this unprecedented time. The page includes tips for golf-specific instruction and conditioning, mental health resources, safe indoor golf activities and at-home drills specifically for kids.

“Members are eagerly sharing advice and words of encouragement for one another by blogging about their experiences throughout quarantine,” McLaughlin said.

If you have a junior golfer in your life, or if you are a junior golfer yourself, head over to the website to connect with other golfers and see what you can do to stay golf-ready.
