U.S. Open 2019: Golf fans rip Jordan Spieth for snapping at caddie Michael Greller
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — Jordan Spieth lost his temper on Thursday at the 2019 U.S. Open. After two bad shots on the par-4 8th hole that would lead to a bogey, cameras were rolling as he snapped at his longtime caddie Michael Greller.
Spieth was upset with Greller’s club suggestions (even though, technically speaking, Spieth selects the clubs while Greller offers opinions), claiming he hit two “perfect” shots which “got me in the water on one and over the green on the other.”
It was an ugly moment from Spieth, and an obvious loss of composure. There was really no need for him to target Greller with his ire.
Golf fans didn’t let Spieth off easy. After they saw the Golden Boy lose his temper, many of them took to social media to roast him:

If Game of Thrones wasn’t so dead to me I would say that Spieth just went full Daenerys Targeryen on Greller and then insert a gif of her saying “Dracarys”. But I won’t cuz I’m over that show, obviously

Spieth just went full Michael Corleone to Greller. “I knew it was you. You broke my heart.” pic.twitter.com/OOwn2GuB7B

Interesting Spieth doesn’t seem to use “we” when he sarcastically says “I hit 2 perfect shots. One in the water. One over the green”

Spieth can't help throwing his caddy under the bus, he always talks about how him and his caddy r one unit, it's always "We,We,We" during interviews, but wen poor shots come, it's always on the caddy…man up Spieth, kids r watching u on tv, set a good example…#usopengolf
