WATCH: Chez Reavie just made the longest hole-in-one all season at the Tour Championship
Chez Reavie isn’t the longest hitter on the PGA Tour, but he made the longest ace of the 2018-2019 season on Friday at the Tour Championship.
Reavie began his day at even par, 10 shots off the lead. But he got off to a hot start at East Lake, making birdie at No. 1 and No. 2, then adding two more at 5 and 6 after a bogey at 4.
But those birdies were just the opener for Reavie’s main event: he stepped up to the 230-yard 9th hole and cranked a 3-hybrid that landed on the front edge and got very literally the perfect bounce forward. The rest, as you can see below, was history.
Giving the @PlayoffFinale crowd something to ROAR about.

What made Reavie’s ace particularly memorable was its length. Up to this point, Nick Taylor owned the longest hole-in-one of the season, holing his tee shot from 221 yards at the par-3 13th at TPC San Antonio. But Reavie’s blew that out of the water by a full nine yards.
Better yet, the ace (and front-nine 30) moved Reavie inside the top 15 — and in line for a big payday.
