Brandel Chamblee made a hilarious mistake during his Champions Tour practice round
It’s good to know that the best players in the game are just like the rest of us. We’ve all made a mistake like this at some point, and before his first Champions Tour start of the season, Brandel Chamblee showed us just how easy it can be to do.
Here’s what happened: While playing his practice round at the Wakonda Club in Iowa ahead of his first round at the Principal Charity Classic, the Golf Channel analyst roped a perfect iron shot — to the wrong green.

Turns out, that was the practice green Brandel was hitting to, which sits just to the side of the green Chamblee was supposed to hit, the 9th. He was in good spirits about it, though. He smiled when he was politely informed of his mistake, saying it was the “best shot he’s ever hit,” but also the “worst” shot he’s ever hit. Check out the full highlight below.
Welcome back to pro golf, @chambleebrandel.
