Look 1: Hoodie Flair

The Outfit: Wearing a hoodie doesn’t always mean attracting unwanted attention. First of all, they’ve become far more acceptable as on-course attire (thanks to guys like Justin Thomas, who wears them while contending on Tour), and if you opt for a black-on-black piece like the Greyson Gotham hoodie ($125) Delanie is wearing here, you’re making a subtle and stylish statement. We layered a Stitch Sid Stripe polo ($98) underneath and tucked the collar under the hoodie, then rounded out the outfit with a black Imperial Emergency Nine Original rope hat ($30), Revo shades ($229) and slate-gray Johnnie-O Wyatt shorts ($89).

The Takeaway: Wearing a hoodie can be a powerful way to bring your athletic flair to the course. Just make sure it fits well and that you layer a polo underneath. And if you’re at all skittish about bringing hoodies to the course, opt for solid-colored options that are stealth and clean.

The Outfit: The Radda Palmer pants ($105) here are the centerpiece of this outfit — its burnt orange hue is neutral yet eye-catching, and it pairs perfectly with the orange and green accents found in Puma’s RS-G kicks. Since we went bold with the trouser and shoe, we paired them with the classic combo of Ralph Lauren’s printed Airflow polo ($99) layered underneath a solid-navy Performance Interlock quarter-zip ($99). We rounded out the outfit as simply as possible with an all-navy, logo-free Reigning Champ 6-panel cap ($60).

The Takeaway: If you’re not entirely ready to adopt a street-inspired look — start small. Pair a classic golf staple, such as a patterned polo layered underneath a solid-colored quarter-zip, with a surprising item, such as a bold-colored trouser or a surprising shoe.

The Outfit: Temperatures in late fall and early winter seem to yo-yo throughout the day, making your rounds a bit tough to dress for. That’s why it’s smart to invest in a solid vest, since you’ll likely wear it many times this season. This KJUS Radiation Vest ($249) is made with a full-stretch shell and lining for extra comfort, and its sleek solid-color options means you’ll have no problem matching it with many outfits. Here, we paired it with Foray Golf’s beautiful Frosted Floom skirt ($160), Polo Golf’s coral UV half-zip ($128), an Original Jones Lancer bag ($160) and Imperial’s navy U.S. Open Winged Foot cap ($29).

The Takeaway: A vest is a piece you might wear more often than any other during every season but summer. It pairs as well with shorts (and skirts) as it does with pants, and it’s an item you’ll likely find yourself wearing as often off the course as you will on it.

The Outfit: Why wouldn’t you bring a fabric you wear often off the course, like fleece, onto the course? Puma Golf’s entire Excellent Golf Wear Collection does a great job of merging street wear and athletic wear with golf wear, and it includes this 1/4-zip Sherpa ($120) that offers all the stretch your golf game needs. We layered it over a fun Bonobos polo ($68) for a necessary pop of color, then paired it with beige Adidas Adicross Warp Knit pants ($110) and a North Coast Golf Co. nautical glove ($26).

The Takeaway: You’ll never feel more like yourself than when you start blending your everyday wear with your golf wear. Why not start with wearing fleece on the links?
