If you’re struggling around the greens, try this quick tip
One of the worst things you can do when chipping is use your wrists to “lift” the ball into the air. Good chippers know that the loft of the club — not your hands or wrists — is what gets the ball airborne. As a result, they tend to keep their wrists passive and, more importantly, their left wrist flat.

An easy (and affordable) way to groove a flat left wrist is to slide a paint can stir stick into your glove. The stick makes it impossible to “flick” your left wrist. (It’ll hit your forearm if you try.) In fact, your left wrist has no option but to bow or remain flat. You really have it right when you create some daylight between your forearm and the stick at impact, like I’ve done here. Your reward? Pure strikes from anywhere around the green.
