Tiger Woods is now officially one of the favorites to win the 2020 Masters
Tiger Woods captured his 82nd PGA Tour victory on Monday — tying him with Sam Snead for the most victories ever. And now, he’s officially one of the odds-on favorites to defend his Green Jacket at the 2020 Masters.
Tiger’s 2020 Masters odds have been hovering around 18/1 for the last few months. It was good enough to place him in the top tier of players, alongside the likes of Rose, Rahm, and Johnson, but still almost double the price of market leaders like Brooks Koepka and Rory McIlroy.

But Tiger’s Zozo Championship victory seems to have changed that. Fans, it seems, are not convinced he’s ready to collect major #16.
Tiger looked superb all week in Japan. He finished in the top 10 in Driving Accuracy, inside the top 5 in Greens In Regulation, and led the field in Putts Per Green In Regulation — which is why Tiger Woods lead the field in birdies en-route to victory.
And that left a lasting impression on the Vegas oddsmakers.
Gone are Tiger’s 18/1 odds. Now, you can get him as low as 9/1 odds in some places, and according to Bookies.com‘s rundown of all the odds, he’s now joint-second favorite with Rory McIlroy to win it all, just a whisker behind 2020 favorite Brooks Koepka.
Is this a clue that major number 16 is on the way? Or simply that the Tiger hype is hitting the betting markets early? A bit of both, probably, but if Tiger has proved anything to us time and time again, it’s to never count him out.
