The new Adidas Forgefiber BOA golf shoes ($200 men’s, $160 women’s) are made with Forgefiber technology, which provides added stability through unique stitching techniques. The Forgefiber technology consists of TPU coated yarn that’s compressed and heated so it melts into the material of the shoe, yielding the aforementioned enhanced stability and durability.
“We’ve had our eye on the Forgefiber technology ever since it appeared in other categories,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, Adidas Golf. “We know it would be a game changer for golfers because the stability it provides is exactly what players need while also keeping the shoe lightweight and comfortable throughout the entire round.”
Other features of the new shoe include the same X-Traxion system used in the Tour360 XT-SL shoe, Adidas’ Boost cushioning for added comfort, Insite sockliners for even more comfort and stability, and a new BOA fit system for optimized fit. The new shoes come with a one-year waterproof warranty in both men’s (three color options) and women’s (two color options) models.
The new Adidas Forgefiber BOA shoes will be available at retail on March 1st.
