Golf Channel has announced the 14 finalists who will compete for a $250,000 prize and the chance to become Wilson Golf’s next driver. Driver vs. Driver is returning for a second season, which will premiere at 9 p.m. on Oct. 2 and run for seven episodes.
Hundreds of concepts were submitted in the lead-up to the show’s second season. The 14 finalists selected from that pool will present their driver plans to a three-man panel of judges. Nine-time NHL all-star Jeremy Roenick headlines that panel and will be joined by PGA pro and online golf personality Rick Shiels as well as Tim Clarke, the president of Wilson Golf.
The driver concepts will be tested and critiqued by different members of the golf world, from Tour players to celebrities to media members.
The finalists range in age from 22 to 81. They are college students, engineers, poker players, professional bowlers and more. One of their final designs will go on sale at golf retailers worldwide following the season finale. Check out the trailer below.
