Adidas x Palace: The clothing collaboration catching everyone’s attention at the Genesis Invitational

February 16, 2020

Peanut butter and jelly, salt and pepper, peas and carrots, and now, Adidas and a skateboard brand? That’s right, the athletic wear company is out to prove its collaboration with Palace—the decade-old, uber-popular skateboard and clothing brand—is the next greatest thing in the world of golf apparel.

If you’ve been watching this weekend’s Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club with a close eye, you might have noticed the Adidas x Palace logos adorning the attire of Jon Rahm, Sergio Garcia, Xander Schauffele and a few other Adidas athletes.

The collaboration was announced earlier this week in an Instagram post featuring none other than Sir Nick Faldo. The video offered little by way of substance, but its implication for the Adidas golf brand (and its 280,000 views to date) seems to indicate a unique potential for the brand partnership in the golf space.

Palace, a skateboarding and clothing outfitter founded in London in 2009, sells high-end skatewear heavily influenced by pop culture (you can find their full lineup of clothing here). Their golf line is their second collaboration with Adidas. A few months ago, Palace released a line with Adidas for the European soccer club Juventus. The Juventus design featured similar styles to the ones worn by Tour players this week, with bright highlights evident throughout.

Adidas x Palace golf products have not yet been released to the public, but you can find all of Adidas’ other newly released items here. Check back for more information as soon as these special edition products become available to the public.
