Rory McIlroy’s week was profitable.

While playing the Texas Children’s Houston Open, he built momentum for next week’s Masters with a tie for fifth. He made a driver tweak. He also said the host course, Memorial Park, gained a fan after he previously had never played it.

“Overall,” McIlroy said, “pretty happy with how the week went.”

There was also this:

He won $337,843, which made him just the second player to cross over the nine-figure mark in PGA Tour career earnings. McIlroy’s payday put him at $100,046,906, and only Tiger Woods, with $120,999,166, is higher.

The top 25 list, meanwhile, is an interesting read. There are five LIV pros — Phil Mickelson is third with $96,685,635; Dustin Johnson is fourth with $75,557,026; Sergio Garcia is 16th with $54,985,969; Jon Rahm is 17th with $52,055,684; and Bubba Watson is 23rd with $48,049,778. If you include Woods, 16 of the pros are playing their golf on the PGA Tour.

Who’s next to join the nine-figure club? Scottie Scheffler is currently at $75,134,784 (since turning pro in 2018) and, given his current pace, should soon cross the threshold. The next two active PGA Tour players are Adam Scott ($68,619,436) and Justin Rose ($66,638,708), who are both 44. After them are Jordan Spieth ($63,562,963) and Justin Thomas ($62,924,964), who are both 31.

As for the current members of the nine-figure club? Woods’ return to play is unknown after undergoing surgery on his left Achilles tendon, while McIlroy, who told Golf Channel’s Kira K. Dixon that he’s battling some pain in his right elbow, returns to action at the Masters.

“Yeah, still feel like I’ve got some stuff to work on,” McIlroy said Sunday. “Still don’t think my game is absolutely 100 percent under the control I would want, but it’s nice to have a week to work on some things. I’ve got my coach, Michael Bannon, coming in tomorrow, so we’ll be working at home and making sure game feels good going into the Masters.”

Below is the top 25 on the PGA Tour’s career money list:
