Course Overview
When French Lick Springs and West Baden Springs merged to form the new French Lick Resort in 2005, the decision-makers set out to revamp the property, including the addition of an 18-hole course atop nearby Mt. Aerie. Pete Dye moved a whopping 2.5 million cubic yards to dirt to mellow the drastic elevation changes on the property (that’s 1.5 million more earth that Dye’s moved when building Whistling Straits. The result was a course that looks as punishing as it plays. Maxing out at north of 8,000 yards, the design features long, narrow fairways atop ridgelines and steep drop-offs, with a bunker style that looks otherworldly.
