Bettinardi Irons CB MB 2024

The 2024 Bettinardi CB24 and MB24 Irons

Ryan Barath/GOLF

Bettinardi Golf is known for producing some of the most intricate and precise putters on the planet, and for the first time are bringing their expertise to irons with the release of their CB24 and MB24 designs. Here is everything you need to know about the new irons from Bettinardi Golf, which will be available for preorder starting March 26th, with a starting price of $1600.

The CB24 and MB24 models

When it comes to forged irons, it’s hard to beat a classic cavity back and blade, but just because these designs are classic doesn’t mean you have to rely on old-fashioned manufacturing techniques to create something that offers performance.

The Bettinardi CB24 irons are intended to offer skilled golfers an iron with a traditional setup from address, but with extra playability thanks to the technology built into the head through the forging process.

“The cavity back is a very versatile set of irons looking down at it … I think we’ve truly nailed the profile, the top line, and the offset, and that was very important to me.” Sam Bettinardi, President Bettinardi Golf, “The first thing people do when they look at an iron is they want to see what it looks like from address and I think what we’ve created is perfect in terms of design.”

Bettinardi CB24 Custom Irons

Created for ultimate playability, the CB24 irons combine modern engineering with classic design. Crafted for those who demand both accuracy and distance, these irons seamlessly blend a traditional forged feel with innovative technology. Characterized by an optimal progressive cavity and perimeter weighting for maximum MOI, the CB24 irons strike a perfect balance of distance and forgiveness.   ONE PIECE CO-FORGED SOLID BODY Engineered to seamlessly co-forge the interior components within the 1025 Carbon Steel chassis, our One Piece Forging Technology delivers a solid body iron with exceptional feel that gives the player responsive feedback. TRI-MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION The integration of high-density tungsten and military-grade CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composites) within the forged Carbon Steel body produces weight profiles that maximize forgiveness while maintaining balance and consistency from one iron to the next. PROGRESSIVE COG POSITIONING Loft-dependent positioning of the tungsten and CMC components ensures precise COG placement in each iron. This progressive COG shift generates more launch in the long irons, controlled backspin in the scoring irons, and tighter dispersion while maintaining consistent gapping through the set. SHAPED TO PERFORM A modern head shape with a clean aesthetic inspires confidence at address. The optimized design promotes maximum forgiveness and a higher launch trajectory, resulting in enhanced distance on every shot.

The MB24 irons share the same design characteristics as the cavity back including the blade length, but with a slightly thinner topline.

Bettinardi MB24 Custom Irons

Sculpted for uncompromising control, the MB24 irons blend Tour-proven aesthetics with an exquisite forged feel. Crafted for those who demand precision, these irons empower players to shape every shot with confidence. Characterized by a thinner topline and a differential muscleback designed for precise weighting, the MB24 irons maximize control with added forgiveness in a player’s profile. Bettinardi iron technology

Although they might look like simple one-piece forged irons from the outside, a lot is going on under the hood of the CB24 and MB24 irons to help them perform and feel just as good as they look.

One piece co-forged solid body

Bettinardi utilizes a co-forging process to place materials inside the head, behind the sweet spot, and towards the toe to boost MOI numbers. This process allows them to create solid body irons without reducing feel and player feedback.

Tri-material construction

Thanks to the aforementioned co-forging process, the CB24 and MB24 irons have dense tungsten embedded within the toe and a much less dense ceramic composite in the middle of the muscle pad of each iron. These materials help precisely shift the center of gravity through the set to help make the longer irons easier to launch while also offering greater trajectory control with the shorter irons.

Price and availability

Bettinardi’s MB24 and CB24 irons are now available for pre-order starting today — March 26th at bettinardi.com and have a starting price of $1600. The CB24 will be available in right-handed and left-handed, and both iron models will offer a total of 24 shaft and 18 grip options.

Authorized Bettinardi dealers including True Spec Golf plus Studio B Oak Brook by Bettinardi will begin fitting golfers for the MB24 and CB24 irons on Friday, April 5th, and internationally starting in late April. The left-handed CB24s will begin shipping in late June 2024.
