Next week, the PGA Tour plays the FedEx St. Jude Championship, where 70 golfers will play for $20 million — and the top 50 will unlock status for next year’s big-money tournaments. The week after, those 50 will also play the BMW Championship, where another $20 million purse is on the line — and the top 30 will advance to the following week.
