Sergio Garcia after his first round at the 2018 Masters.

Sergio Garcia, in 2017, hit his drive 330 yards down the fairway on the 530-yard, par-5 15th at Augusta National. He then hit his second shot within 15 feet and rolled in the putt. He capped it with a fist pump and a roar, and he would go on to win the Masters, his first major victory. It was, unquestionably, one of the highest moments of Garcia’s career.
One of the lowest came a year later on the same hole.
Five balls into the water. Five penalties. An 8-over 13. (With a one-putt!) The 13 remains the highest score on the 15th hole in Masters history, and ties for the highest score on any hole. (There have been 13s on holes 12 and 13, too.) What would it look like if you combined the worst scores on each hole, all across Augusta National? Garcia’s 13 brings the worst-score-on-every-hole to a 97-over 169. (Even you and I could shoot that. Maybe.)
Check out Garcia’s epic attempts from 2018, and the rest of the worst scores logged at each hole below.
