Tom Brady roasts Peyton Manning’s golf game at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning butted heads as the NFL’s preeminent rivalry for more than a decade. Brady got the better end of Manning on the field (going 11-6 all-time), and now, he’s getting the better of his QB counterpart on the course.
No, we’re not talking about the pair’s visit to Jim Nantz’s Pebble Beach backyard par-3 as part of Manning’s ESPN+ show “Peyton’s Places” (though it does remain to be seen who the victor was in their matchup). We’re talking about the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where Manning is a participant for the first time and maybe playing a little bit TOO well.
Manning made waves on social media early on Friday when he stuck his approach to a couple feet on the par-5 10th hole at Monterey Peninsula Country Club.

But after Barstool Sports’ Fore Play podcast argued Brady might have put it closer, the six-time Super Bowl champion chimed in to correct them.
Not true. Peyton is the better golfer right now. He’s had much more practice these past few years. https://t.co/etoGOmd0c0

Ouch.
But then again, Brady isn’t wrong. Manning is an investor in one of the hottest tracks in golf, Sweetens Cove. Plus, he hasn’t had a day job weighing down his golf schedule—he retired from the NFL after winning his second Super Bowl in 2016 (beating Brady’s Patriots en route).

What’s more, Manning’s game could get even better now that he’s got a playing partner. His little brother (and fellow two-time Super Bowl champion) Eli is a recent NFL retiree and also participating in this week’s Pro-Am. Given the athletic (and competitive) genes in the family, it stands to reason that the brothers’ Manning could become as formidable a pair in the amateur field at Pebble as they once did on NFL sidelines.
