Viewer’s guide: 2019 Hero World Challenge tee times, TV schedule and purse
The 2019 Presidents Cup is just one week away, but before the players leave for Australia, many of them are stopping in the Bahamas for Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge. You can find full tee times for the 2019 Hero World Challenge, along with everything else you should know about the tournament, at the bottom of this post.
The first thing to know about the annual event is that it begins on Wednesday this year, instead of a traditional Thursday start. That means it also ends Saturday, giving the President Cuppers in the field of 18 a chance to get to Australia on time.
As tournament host, Woods gets to pick the first round tee times. He gave himself an 11:35 a.m ET time on Wednesday and chose Presidents Cup teammate Justin Thomas to play with him on Day 1.
Woods, who will captain the U.S. team next week in addition to his playing duties, appeared to use some of the tee times to test out his team. Webb Simpson and Bryson DeChambeau tee off together at 11:13 a.m. ET, with U.S. captain’s picks Rickie Fowler and Tony Finau going off at 11:46 a.m. ET.
