PGA 2019 live coverage: How to watch the PGA Championship on Thursday

May 16, 2019

The 2019 PGA Championship will get underway Thursday morning with a loaded field.

The conversation starts, of course, with Tiger Woods, who will tee off at 8:24 a.m. on the 10th tee alongside Brooks Koepka and Francesco Molinari, searching to follow up his win at the Masters last month with his fifth career PGA Championship. That trio, thanks to Woods, will consume much of the oxygen early in this tournament.

While that’s where the storylines start, it’s far from where they end. In all, 99 of the top 100 players ranked in the Official World Golf Ranking are in the field (the 100th, Justin Thomas, withdrew on Tuesday with a wrist injury). With a win, Koepka could put a stamp on his claim as the best player in the world. Jordan Spieth, who has yet to post a top-20 PGA Tour finish this season, is looking to break out of his struggles. Rory McIlroy will be eager to bounce back after a disappointing finish at Augusta (T21), hoping to secure his third career PGA Championship.

And as the week unfolds, plenty more storylines are sure to emerge.

That all starts Thursday, with the first group scheduled to tee off at 6:45 a.m. at Bethpage Black. For a complete list of tee times, click here. Though the television broadcast doesn’t begin until 1 p.m., there are a host of ways to stay up-to-the-minute as the season’s second major championship gets going.
