Maximum Security was the winner of the Kentucky Derby, the first of three races in horse racing’s Triple Crown, on Saturday at Churchill Downs. That was until the colt was stunningly disqualified for interference, giving the victory to Country House.
After the first-ever winning horse in the history of the event was shockingly disqualified, the sports world erupted with reactions to the controversial replay reversal. That included many pro golfers too. Here’s some of the best reactions we saw on Twitter from the golf world on Saturday after the Kentucky Derby. And many pro golfers did not hold back.
I’m trying to imagine all the people at @KentuckyDerby who bet country horse and threw their ticket away right after the race ended (like anybody would do after a loss)…. then had to somehow find it again??? But couldn’t??? I can’t wrap my head around what just happened!!

Peak 2019 right there.
We just went to slow motion replay on an animal to try and determine interference.
What in the hell are we doing?
